My Work With Animals
Volunteering has become a large part of my travels, particularly animal refuges in third world countries. For me, it’s impossible to ignore the suffering that so many animals endure in these countries and I wasn’t able to just ignore it or turn a blind eye and go back to the comfort of my hotel.
I decided my way of helping was to volunteer at dog refuges for anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. After all, ANYTHING helps.
So far I have volunteered at refuges in Australia, Indonesia (Bali), Thailand, Cambodia, Sri Lanka and Greece.
It is the most rewarding thing I have ever done and it brings me immense joy to be able to have a positive impact on someones life.
Saving one dog will not change the world, but surely for that one dog, the world will change forever.
