Hi there! I’m Zayla and I’m an everyday girl from Western Australia. I am fiercely passionate about all things holistic plant based living, travel, animal welfare and our planet.
My love of travel started from a young age. When I turned 12, my Grandma took me on a holiday to Tasmania. It was there that I caught the lifelong incurable travel bug and became completely fascinated with this beautiful planet we call home. In the years following, I travelled to Bali with my Grandma several times and fell in love with the culture and different way of life. It was through travelling that I saw the plight of the streets cats and dogs around the world.
I developed a strong desire to ‘do my bit’ and help make a difference whilst exploring the world. I knew I could help so I started volunteering at dog refuges around the world.
Through working closely with animals and forming close bonds with them, as well as encountering some minor health issues, I became interested in health, studied nutrition and adopted a plant based diet with an emphasis on making it as ethical and sustainable as possible.
So far I have travelled to 19 countries (+ counting!) and I have volunteered at 7 dog refuges. With no plans of slowing down and a whole lot of passion, I’ve decided it’s time to share my holistic lifestyle, parts of the world I’m lucky enough to visit, and the people & animals I’m fortunate enough to cross paths with.
To travel is to live
