I’m Zayla and I’m super passionate about all things travel, animal welfare, health and plant based living.
My love of travel started from a young age. When I was growing up, my Grandma had a promise to all of her grandchildren, that when we reached 12 years old, she would take us on an overseas holiday. When I turned 12, my Grandma booked to take me to Malaysia however due to the terror attacks occurring globally at the time, we ended up going to Tasmania. It was then that I caught the lifelong incurable travel bug and became completely fascinated with this beautiful planet we call home.
In the years following, I travelled to Bali with my Grandma several times and fell in love with the culture and different way of life. I also visited orphanages and dog refuges and was exposed to another side of travelling and the impact a person can have on the lives of others. It was at this point that I developed a strong desire to ‘do my bit’ and help make a difference whilst exploring the world.
With a new awareness of the world around me and after encountering some health issues, I started practicing yoga and undertook studies in Nutrition. My lifestyle progressed to entirely plant based with an emphasis on making it as ethical and sustainable as possible.
So far I have travelled to 19 countries (+ counting!) and I have volunteered at 7 dog refuges. With no plans of slowing down and a whole lot of passion, I’ve decided it’s time to share my lifestyle, adventures, parts of the world I’m lucky enough to visit, and the people & animals I’m fortunate enough to cross paths with.
To travel is to live
